 Lady Panther Golf Team 3rd in WRAC

September 17, 2008 - Knightstown’s varsity girls golf team finished third in the White River Athletic Conference match held at Valley View Golf Course Saturday.

Shenandoah won the WRAC title with a team score of 373. Lapel was second at 392, Knightstown had 480 and Eastern Hancock shot a 493.

Pam Crawford was low for the Lady Panthers with a 50-55, 105. Molly Rigdon shot a 116, Abby Haines fired a 122, Mahaley Hagy shot a 137 and Ashley Darling had a 143.

The Lady Panthers lost to Anderson Highland last week 192-221 in a match played at Royal Hylands Golf Club. Crawford was low again for Knightstown with a 53, nailing a birdie on the par-3 fourth hole. Rigdon parred the same hole and finished with a 54.

Hagy and Haines both shot a 57, Shawna Rigdon fired a 58 and Darling had a 65.

In a match last week at the Greenfield Country Club, the Lady Panthers finished third while competing against the Lady Cougars and Greenwood. Greenfield shot a 186, Greenwood a 199 and Knightstown hit 245.

Molly Rigdon shot a low 57 for the Lady Panthers, while Ashley Darling played her best round of the season with a 58. Crawford shot a 62, Shawna Rigdon had 68 and Mahaley Hagy fired a 70.

The girls host Hagerstown and New Castle at Royal Hylands tonight (Wednesday) before competing in the sectional Saturday at Richmond.
