 Keck, Prince Pace Krush to Win

May 7, 2008 - Brittney Keck and Baylie Prince both drove in four runners to lead the Kozy Kabin Day Spa & Salon Krush to a 21-15 victory over the C&C Cleaning Service Pink Panthers in girls junior league softball play at the Optimist diamonds.

Both Keck and Prince also scored two runs each for the Krush. Macey Roberts and Paige Halcomb both scored three runs and drove home three more. Mahala Knapp also had three RBIs, scored three runs and had a hit in the game.

Grace Hastings went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two more batted in. Courtney Carlton plated three runs for the winners while Becky Muir had two RBIs. Brooklyn Johnson and Brooklyn Harding both scored runs, while Olivia Knapp played heads-up defense.

Halcomb pitched the first two innings and Prince finished up for the Krush, who improved to 2-0 with the victory.

No individual results were available for the Pink Panthers.

 

The Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Sluggers held off the Elite Heating Red Hosts 19-18 in girls major league softball last week.

Catcher Brooklyn Parsons had a terrific game for the Red Hots. She teamed up with pitchers Patty Jones and Deena Miller to get four outs at home plate, and threw to third baseman Ciara Kline for another out at third base. Parsons also had a hit and scored two runs in the game.

Chelsea St. John plated three runs and had two hits for the Red Hots. Patty Jones went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Alyson Chapple, Brittany Dean, Ciara Kline and Deena Miller all crossed the plate twice.

Brooke Vise hit safely and scored, while Kylie Morris and Libby Mattix also plated runs. Jordan Vantresco also hit safely in the game.

There were no individual results available from the winning Sluggers.
