 KIS Boys Track Team Loses Two

April 16, 2008 - Knightstown’s junior high boys track team lost two meets last week to Rushville and Hagerstown.

Against the Lions, the Panther boys fell 67-43. First place performances were turned in by Bobby Wyatt in the discus (104-6), J.O. Jessup in the shot put (33-1) and Will Milton in the 110-meter hurdles (18.6).

Second place ribbons were won by Braxton Kortz in the shot put (31-11), Milton in the long jump (16-2), Terry White in the 110-meter hurdles (20.2), Zak Cleek in the 400-meter dash (1:07) and Wyatt in the 200-meter dash (27.3).

Dean Thomas in the shot put (31-5) and White in the high jump (4-7) both scored points with third place finishes.

Knightstown fell to Hagerstown 57-33. Wyatt’s toss of 102-5 won the discus, and Milton took first place in the long jump and 110-meter low hurdles. Wyatt also won the 400-meter dash, and the Panther 4x100-meter relay team also claimed first place.

Kortz, Thomas, Cleek and Wyatt grabbed second place ribbons, while White finished third in the low hurdles and high jump.

The boys will be in action again Thursday at Wes-Del.
