 Crucial Fourth Quarter Drive Propelled Panthers to Huge Win

Sept. 26, 2007 - In perhaps the most important drive of the football season, the Knightstown Panthers took the ball at their own 32-yard line and went 68 yards for the winning score in a huge victory over Shenandoah Friday night. The Panthers had forced a Raider punt and took possession with 6:12 to play in the game and the score tied at 6-6.

 

How the 11-play drive unfolded:

 

Play 1: Levi Blair ran 10 yards to the 42, first-and-10.

 

2: Danny Ortman ran three yards to the 45, second-and-seven.

 

3. Blair ran left side cutback nine yards to the Raider 46, first-and-10.

 

4. Brice Biehl ran keeper to 41-yard-line, second-and-five.

 

5. Blair ran left side cutback again to 35-yard-line, first-and-10.

 

6. Biehl ran broken play keeper for loss of two yards to the 37-yard-line, second-and-12.

 

7. Biehl ran option right keeper 16 yards to 21, first-and-10.

 

8. Blair ran right side six yards to 15, second-and-four.

 

9. Blair ran left side to nine-yard-line, first and goal.

 

10. Blair ran left side to four-yard-line, second-and-goal.

 

11. Ortman ran right side cutback four yards for touchdown.

 

Biehl ran a right side keeper for the two-point conversion.

 

Drive: 11 plays, 68 yards, in 4:54. Average gain per play was six yards.
