 Drew Underwood Gets First Hit, But Red Sox Fall in Early Round of Majors' Tourney

 

July 4, 2007 - Jordan Jessup hit and pitched for the White Flash Auto Parts Devil Rays, while Drew Underwood collected his first hit of the season for the Knightstown Locker Red Sox, in another exciting early tournament game won by the D’Rays, 9-8.

Jessup drove in three runs, while Jake Kwisz and Levi Jessup both scored twice in the game. Luke Mattix had two hits and drove home two runs for the winners, while Jared Davis singled and scored. Caleb Davis, Brandon Kindler and Kyle Adkins also plated runs for the winners.

Trent McDonald and Walker Titus both went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two more batted in for the Red Sox. Terrance Burt had two hits, scored once and drove home another run. Matt Warwick went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, while Lane Olsheske had a hit and drove in one run. Jacob Blower and Mason Campbell both scored for the Red Sox, and Drew Underwood slashed a single.
