 Bever Hosts Extension Homemakers

March 26, 2008 - The regular meeting of the Town and Country Extension Homemakers was held on Tuesday, March 18, at the home of Pam Bever at 6 p.m. The meeting began with the annual salad bar. Following prayer by Diana Lee, those present enjoyed the pitch-in meal.

For devotions Bever told about the Christian practice of coloring Easter eggs.

The roll call was answered by five members on "What area of your home needs to be organized?" For the health and safety report, Sandra VanHoy reported on tornado safety.

Following the business session, Bever presented a lesson on edible flowers. She said using edible flowers is a good way to add color, texture, scent and flavor to foods. However, she said we must only eat flowers we know are edible. When in doubt, she said, don't eat.

The meeting was adjourned following the lesson. Those attending were Sonnie Thompson, Bever, Lee, VanHoy and Brenda Reece.
