Wayne Township Clever Clovers Learn About Changes in 4-H Project Judging

February 13, 2008 - The Wayne Township Clever Clovers 4-H Club met on February 6 at Knightstown United Methodist Church. President Joe Haase presided over the meeting. Pledges to the American and 4-H flags were led by Jackson Lukens and Carson Fort. Ten members answered roll to the question, “Do you want more snow this winter?” Danny Ortman read the Treasurer’s Report.

Members were reminded that they can complete their enrollment forms online at www.four-h.purdue.edu/enroll/. However, a signature page must be printed, signed and mailed to the Henry County extension office by April 1.

Changes in judging will be announced in mailed letters this year. Members were encouraged to watch their mailboxes for news. This issue will be discussed at future meetings.

Leah Cline will serve as chairman of the lemon shake-up stand at Jubilee Days this year. Other committee members include Lukens and Amber Pitts. Cole Fort volunteered to chair the barrel painting committee this year. He will be recruiting helpers as the fair gets closer.

The club is in need of a community service project and members are asked to consider this before the next meeting.

Lukens led the recreational portion of the meeting. Pitts served refreshments.

The next meeting is March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Knightstown United Methodist Church. Anyone interested in becoming a member should plan to attend this meeting, or contact Club Leader Barbara Haase.
