Phi Chi Epsilon Sorority Holds Meeting in Mooreland

February 13, 2008 - Nu Chapter of Phi Chi Epsilon Sorority met Monday, February 11, at the home of Marlena Person in Mooreland. This was the group’s first time meeting at Person’s home and she welcomed members by singing a song about home. This was the first time the group had heard her sing.

President Victoria Goodspeed opened the meeting. Vice President Linda Coleman led the group in prayer. Goodspeed then led the group in the chapter’s purpose and song. Secretary Kathy Rogers had role call and read the January minutes. Treasurer Donna Thrasher read the treasurer’s report and took dues. It was decided that the sorority’s August meeting will be a pitch-in dinner with invited guests. Diane Brown won the hostess gift of assorted items. Incoming member Diane Brown also took and passed her written test with Inspector Barbara Boswell. The March meeting will be in Franklin at the home of Bernice Williams, where members will assemble Easter baskets.
