 DAR Good Citizens Honored

February 6, 2008 - The Major Hugh Dinwiddie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) met in the Knightstown United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on February 1. Amelia Wyatt served as hostess.

The meeting featured DAR essay winners and “Good Citizens.” Essay winners are Carly Sharp, a Tri Junior High School fifth grader; Stephanie Hunsinger, a Knightstown Intermediate School (KIS) sixth grader; and Jarrett Jones, a KIS eighth grader.

Good Citizens are Megan Grant, a senior at Knightstown High School, and Emily Paul, a senior at Tri High School.

After reports were read, winners received their pins. Refreshments were then served.

In the absence of Regent Mary Ann Sitler, the DAR business meeting was opened by Wyatt. Roll call was taken. Reading of the minutes followed.

The next meeting is in March at the home of Diana Taylor.
