 Carthage Literary Circle Meets

January 16, 2008 - On January 8, nine members of the Carthage Literary Circle met at the Henry Henley Public Library for their monthly meeting. The subject was Jasper Fforde, an author from Wales, who has written science fiction books. Denise Akers gave the presentation on two of his series, Thursday Next and Nursery Crimes. These books deal with a literary world in a science fiction time in Great Britain. They are a fun read.

February’s meeting will be on the Tuesday, February 12. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zeilinga will give a travelogue on their trip to Ireland. All meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month. They start at 6:30 p.m. and are in the basement of the Henry Henley Public Library on Main Street in Carthage.
