Knightstown, New Castle DAR Chapters Convene

December 13, 2006 - The Major Hugh Dinwiddie Chapter DAR of Knightstown were guests of the Sarah Winston Henry Chapter DAR of New Castle for a "Musical and Tea" at the Henry County Historical Society in New Castle on Saturday, December 9.

Kevin Stonerock supplied the music by singing and playing his guitar. He ended by singing "Silent Night," joined by the audience. The group told their favorite Christmas stories for the roll call.

Marianne Hughes, New Castle regent, read the President General's message. Angela Tieking of Knightstown led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and the American Creed. The meeting ended with "The Soldier's Prayer" given by Stacy Sobat of New Castle.

Refreshments were served by the two chapters. The group enjoyed seeing the Christmas decorations and tree at the historical society.
