Cobalt Blue Press Books Opens on Main St.

Area residents Rick and Shannon Dawson recently opened a used book store, Cobalt Blue Press Books, on Main Street in Knightstown. The shop, which is open by chance only, is located on the northeast corner of Jefferson and Main streets (102 E. Main), in the former Hats Off building. A wide variety of used books is available there, including an impressive collection of collectible pulp fiction novels. A large collection of faith-based books, as well as collectible postcards and sheet music, are also available. Most of the books are available for sale or trade, and the Dawsons purchase books. The 2-for-1 trade program is patterned after Half Price Books in Indianapolis. The Dawsons accumulated a large collection of interesting titles after shopping small, out-of-the-way book stores all over Indiana. Free, fresh-brewed coffee is available for shoppers, as well as free Wi-Fi Internet access. For more information, call Shannon Dawson at 317-501-2105. (Eric Cox photos)
