 Willodean J. Weimer

 October 25, 1915 – December 29, 2011

 

Willodean J. Kaylor Weimer, 96, of Knightstown, died Dec. 29 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield.

She was born Oct. 25, 1915, in Ohio City, Ohio, a daughter of the late Claude R. and Lura (Smith) Gephart.

Mrs. Weimer was a 1934 graduate of Ohio City High School and attended Huntington College. She was a member of Knightstown United Methodist Church for over 75 years and served as a volunteer at Huntington Hospital for over 20 years. She retired from Art Chemicals in Huntington. Mrs. Weimer was a member of Shakespeare Club in Knightstown. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Weimer of Knightstown; a daughter, Camile (husband, Robert) Weimer of Knightstown; a son, Larry (wife, Rosalie) Kaylor of Langhorne, Penn.; a stepson, David (wife, Jean) Weimer of Knightstown; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Gephart Row of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and three nieces and five nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clair L. Kaylor; a grandson, Scott A. Kaylor; two sisters, Carolyn Gephart and Evelyn Neuer-Zuber; three brothers, Denvin, Orlo and Max Gephart; and two nephews.

Private funeral services will take place at the family’s convenience at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Kenneth Wells officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery.
