Garold P. Strader
May 21, 1921 – December 31, 2011
Garold P. Strader, 90, died Dec. 31, at Sterling House in Bloomington.
He was born May 21, 1921, in Union City, a son of the late John and Clara Strader.
Mr. Strader served in World War II and received a bronze star for heroic service. He was a farmer and a member of the Moose Lodge. He attended Shirley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, John (wife, Mary) Strader of Bloomington; a daughter, Peggy (husband, Jim) Berrier of St. Augustine, Fla.; three grandchildren, John (wife, Amanda) Strader of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Aaron (wife, Blenda) Berrier of Jacksonville, Fla., and Scott (wife, Heather) Berrier of Shirley; great-grandchildren Alec and Bryce Berrier of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ladaya and Evelynn Berrier of Shirley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maryann Strader; and a brother, Harold Venable.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Jan. 4 at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
