 PUBLISHED NOVEMBER 23, 2011

 Mildred Lucille Langseth

 July 28, 1920 – April 17, 2011

Mildred Lucille Lutholtz Langseth, 90, of Port Angeles, Wash., died April 17.

She was born July 28, 1920, in Knightstown, the daughter of the late William and Mary Lutholtz, and graduated from Knightstown High School in 1938.

During World War II she served in the Women’s Army Corps. She lived in California and the Port Angeles, Wash., area. Her passion was stage acting. She continued to pursue acting as a hobby well into her 80s. She was known as someone who was independent, a positive thinker, and young at heart. She toured Europe at age 84 and saw Disneyland for the first time at age 85. She was known for her love of animals and children. Reading to children at the public library was one of her several volunteer activities.

Survivors include her son, Larry (wife, Georgina) Batson of Port Angeles, Wash.

Burial was at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
