 County BZA Meeting Tuesday

August 27, 2008 - The Henry County Board of Zoning Appeals has three issues set for public hearings on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008.

Randall Kern, 6821 N. CR 300-W, Middletown, is seeking a variance for inadequate road frontage on 3.08 acres located in Prairie Township at 41 W. CR 950-N, Springport. According to the hearing agenda, Kern's property only has 35.57 feet instead of the required 150 feet of frontage required for land zoned Rural Residential (RR).

Angela Trieschman, 1219 Woodward Ave., New Castle, has requested a variance to place a mobile home at 488 W. CR 400-N, New Castle, to care for her grandparents under a hardship case. The property, also located in Prairie Township, currently has a house and barn on its 4.78 acres.

The third issue on the agenda is a request from Barry Sanders for an extension on the permit for the temporary trailer he has at 9687 W. CR 825-N, Middletown. This matter was tabled at the BZA's August meeting to give Sanders an opportunity to comply with county building codes.

Tuesday's hearings on the above matters begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public. They will be held in the Courthouse Annex Meeting Room, 101 S. 12th St., New Castle.
