 County Plan Commission Meeting Thursday

May 14, 2008 - The Henry County Planning Commission's Technical Review Committee has three items of business on its agenda for Thursday's 8:15 a.m. meeting, which will be held in Suite 107 of the Henry County Office Building Conference Center, 1201 Race St., New Castle. Case B: 2070 - Brent Borden, P.O. Box 231, Lewisville, is seeking a Commission Approved Use (CAU) for an apartment in a building at 303 E. Main St., Lewisville (Franklin Twp.), on property zoned General Business.

Case B: 2071 - Thomas and Ray Wimmer, 3311 East U.S. Hwy. 36, New Castle, are requesting that five acres of a 16.95 acre tract now zoned Agriculture at 5160 N. CR 300-E, New Castle (Prairie Twp.), be rezoned Rural Residential. The Wimmers have built a house on the five-acre portion.

In other business, the planning commission has been asked to approve the Declaratory Resolution and Development Plan previously approved and adopted by the Henry County Redevelopment Commission. Before approving the resolution and plan, the planning commission will be required to enter an order determining that the resolution and plan conform with the Henry County Comprehensive Plan.

All three of the above issues will also be addressed during the Henry County Planning Commission's public hearing at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 22. That public hearing will be held in the Henry County Annex Meeting Room, 101 South 12th Street, New Castle.
