Estate of the Late Ercell Bever, Jr. Sets Up Two Benevolent Funds

January 30, 2008 - The Estate of Ercell Bever, Jr., represented by Robert C. Winters and Sharon K. Hamilton, Co-Executors, recently established two new funds at the Rush County Community Foundation. These funds will benefit a church and the Masonic Lodge in Carthage.

The “East Street Christian Church of Carthage, Indiana Fund” was established to provide annual support to benefit the church.

The “Rush Masonic Lodge #580, F. & A.M. of Carthage, Indiana Fund” was established to provide annual support to benefit the lodge.

“It is wonderful that Ercell remembered the Foundation when doing his estate planning. The thoughtfulness and generosity he showed during his lifetime will live on forever with the establishment of these funds to benefit his church and his lodge.” stated Garry Cooley, Executive Director of the Foundation. “On behalf of our staff and Board of Directors I was very honored to have known and worked with him in the past and pleased to assist Rob and Sharon in establishing these Funds.”

If you would like to make a donation to either of these Funds you may send your donation to the Rush County Community Foundation, 117 N Main St, Rushville, IN 46173 with a note included that you would like it added to either the East Street Christian Church Fund of the Rush Masonic Lodge Fund.

In its 17th year of meeting the philanthropic needs of Rush County, The Rush County Community Foundation, Inc., the Foundation of Rush County’s future, is a nonprofit public charity established to serve donors, award grants and scholarships, and provide leadership to enrich and enhance the quality of life in Rush County, Indiana, not only today, but for our future generations.

For more information please visit or contact Garry Cooley, Executive Director, or Terry VanNatta, Assistant Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, at their office at 117 N. Main St., Rushville, IN 46173, or call them at (765) 938-1177.
