Banner Makes Corrections

August 22, 2007 - Last week, The Banner incorrectly reported that incumbent Kennard Town Council member Michelle Cruse was not seeking reelection this fall. Cruse is, in fact, seeking reelection, but is doing so under her new married name, Michelle Cleek. While The Banner’s news story correctly reported that Cleek was the sole Republican running for a seat on the town council, we did not realize that Cleek and Cruse were the same person.

Additionally, in a Page 12-13 photo spread last week, The Banner incorrectly identified a canon crew as being affiliated with the Amherst (Mass.) Artillery. In fact, the crew is a part of the First Indiana Light Artillery unit.

Corrections from last week’s sports section appear on Page 15. The Banner sincerely regrets the errors and any confusion or embarrassment they may have caused.
