Genealogical Gleanings 94 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 as we left off in the September 28 column.

Following the Carpenter family at 226 Adams St. is the home rented by the Wilson family at 236 Adams St. Charles L. Wilson was born in Ind. about 1873 and works as a janitor at a school house. His wife Jennie was born in Ind. about 1884. They have one son, Donald Wilson (b. about 1912) living with them.

The Miller family rents the next home listed at 555 S. Jefferson St. Harmon O. Miller was born in Ind. about 1883 and works a carpenter. Ethel L., his wife, was born in Ind. about 1888. They have two children living in the home – Herman (b. about 1907) and Dorothy P. (b. about 1910).

The Smith family rents the home at 543 S. Jefferson, the next residence shown. Carl Smith was born about 1872 in Kentucky and works now as painter (possibly at a buggy factory, but that is difficult to read). Melvina, his wife, was born about the same year, also in Kentucky. They have two children living with them – Russell (b. about 1902) and William H. (b. about 1906). Russell is also employed as a painter in a factory.

Mrs. Indiana “India” Brandenburg owns the next home listed at 513 S. Jefferson. She was born in Ind. about 1845. On Dec 24, 1861 in Henry Co. the former Miss Armstrong married Samuel Brandenburg. India’s daughter Minnie also lives in the home. Minnie was born in Ind. about 1865.

The Gordon family rents the next home listed at 515 S. Jefferson. Andrew Gordon was born in Ind. about 1850 and continues to work as a factory laborer. On Jan 21, 1871 in Hancock Co. he married Margaret Hogue. She was born in Ohio about 1852. They have one daughter, Emma (b. about 1893) still living at home.

The Smith family rents the next home shown at 517 S. Jefferson. Zach A. Smith was born in Kentucky about 1882 and works as a wagon driver. Bertha M., his wife, was also born in Kentucky about 1887. They have one son, Marshall T., who was born in Ohio about 1912.

Mrs. Alice Hunt, a widow living alone, rents the next home listed at 519 S. Jefferson. Alice was born in Ohio about 1863. She works as a launderer in her own home.

Genealogical Gleanings 95 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the October 5 column.

Following the home of Mrs. Alice Hunt at 519 S. Jefferson is the home owned by the Canady family at 237 S. Jefferson. Daniel Warren Canady was born in Iowa about 1858 and works as a horseman at his son’s barn. On Feb 26, 1914 in Hancock Co. he married Victoria A. Tague. She was born in Ind. about 1863.

The Walls family owns the next home listed at 233 S. Jefferson. Harvey B. Walls was born in Ind. about 1883 and works out of his own garage/shop. Blanch E., his wife, was born in Ind. about 1885. Also living in the home is their daughter Dorothy E. (b. about 1909) and their son James H. (b. about 1912).

The Sterns rent the next home listed at 229 S. Jefferson. Ira M. Stern was born in Pennsylvania about 1861 and works as a painter at a carriage factory. Sallie M., his wife, was born in Ind. about 1866. Also living in the home is Sallie’s mother Fannie S. Hunt. She was born in Ind. about 1844.

The Boyer family rents the home at 221 S. Jefferson. Charles Boyer was born in Ind. about 1873 and works as a body builder at an auto shop. His wife, Rose, was born in Ohio about 1883. Also living in the home are their children - Joseph C. (b. about 1906), Sirus J. (b. about 1908), Anna M. (b. about 1911), Charles (b. about 1913), Kathryn (b. 1916) and Harry E. (b. 1908).

Mrs. Belle Bees (last name is difficult to read; may be Bus or ?) rents the next home shown at 203 S. Jefferson. Belle, who is a widow, was born about 1875, but no state is listed. She lives alone.

The Culbertson family owns the next home listed at 205 S. Jefferson. Lewis Culbertson was born in Ind. about 1894 and is a hardware merchant. His wife, Alice R., was born in Ind. about 1897.

The Watts family is shown next as the owners of the home at 147 S. Jefferson. William H. Watts was born in Ind. about 1867 and may be retired as his occupation is listed as “none.” Henrietta S., his wife, was born in Pennsylvania about 1866. Also living in the home are their two sons, Harold W. (b. Mar 12, 1898) and Kenneth P. (b. Apr 18, 1904). Harold is a grocery retail merchant and Kenneth works as an apprentice in a grocery store.

Genealogical Gleanings 96 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the October 12 column.

Following the home of the Watts family at 147 S. Jefferson is the home owned by the Reddick family at 130 S. Jefferson. Mr. Asa B. Reddick was born in Ind. about 1838. On Jan 22, 1863 in Rush Co. he married Rebecca M. Reeves. She was born in Ind. about 1847. Also living in the home is a daughter, Lillian B. Reddick, who was born in Ind. about 1873.

The Armstrong family is listed next as the owners of the home at 135 S. Jefferson. Ms. Belle Armstrong, the former wife of Ira Armstrong. whom she was married in Henry Co. on July 3, 1892 bit . The former Miss Davis was born in Ind. about 1873. Living in the home with her are her children – Myra (b. about 1897), Kathryn (b. about 1899), Myrtle (b. about 1900), Robert F. (b. about 1903) and Alice R. (b. 1909). Myra works as a milliner, Kathryn is a nanny for a private family and Myrtle works as bookkeeper at a bank.

The Underwood family rents the next home listed at 131 S. Jefferson. George W. Underwood was born in Ohio about 1874 and works as a rural route mail carrier. His wife Priscilla J. was also born in Ohio about 1874. Their son Laurence is also living in the home. He was born in Ind. about 1899 and is employed as a foreman in factory.

The Reagan family owns the home shown next at 125 S. Jefferson. Grace W. Reagan was born in Ind. about 1871. The former Miss Watts is a widow of Morton Reagan whom she married on Nov 18, 1897 in Henry Co. Living in the home with their mother are Mary M. (b. about 1900), Lonnie or Laurie S. (b. about 1903) and Dorothy J. (b. about 1906). Both of the oldest daughters are listed as college students. Grace’s mother, Mary P. Watts, and Gerald Watts, possibly a nephew, are also living in the home. Mrs. Watts, a widow, was born in Ohio about 1837. Gerald was born in Ind. about 1905.

The McCormack family rents the next home listed at 117 S. Jefferson. Earl McCormack was born in Ind. about 1885 and works as a blacksmith at a carriage factory. His wife Glenna B. was born in Ind. about 1889. They have a daughter, Lois P., who was born about 1913. (Please note: the last name on this family is difficult to read and therefore I cannot be certain it is indeed McCormack.)

Myrtle Mann, the divorced wife of Frank Mann, rents the next home shown at 115 S. Jefferson. The former Miss Alexander married Mr. Mann on July 3, 1909 in Henry Co. She was born about 1875 but no state was listed. Myrtle is employed as a practical nurse.

Genealogical Gleanings 97 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the October 19 column.

Following the home of Myrtle Mann at 115 S. Jefferson, is the home owned by the Heatons at 111 S. Jefferson. Joseph M. Whetsel Heaton was born in Ind. in May 1837 and had worked as a harness maker. On May 31, 1865 in Marion Co. he married Susan B. Anderson. She was born in Ind. in Mar 1841. They live alone in the 1920 census but in 1900, Susan is listed as the mother of three with two children living. Only their daughter Katie M. was still at home. She was born in Ind. in July 1878.

Mrs. Linda Hinchman, a widow, owns the next home listed at 109 S. Jefferson, where she lives alone. Linda was born in Ind. about 1860.

The Hagan family rents the home at 27 S. Jefferson, shown next. William E. Hagan was born in Ind. about 1883 and is a Methodist Church minister. His wife, Lillie M., was also born in Ind. about 1883. Two children are also listed in the home – Hugh (b. about 1908) and Harlan F. (b. about 1910).

The next home listed is at (what appears to be) 238 Jackson Street. Samuel T. Foxworthy was born in Ind. about 1844. On Feb 28, 1865 in Wayne Co. he married Hannah C. Bradley. She was born in Pennsylvania about 1848.

The Lee family owns the next home at 224 Jackson. Frank M. Lee was born in Ind. about 1853. His wfie Cynthia E. Lee was born in Ind. about 1860. Also living in the home are two sons – Omer (b. about 1878) and Charles R. (b. about 1880). No occupation is listed for Frank or Omer but Charles, a widower, works as a traveling commercial hardware salesman.

The McGraw family owns the home shown after the Lees at 230 Jackson. Edward McGraw was born in Ind. about 1860 is a retail grocery merchant. On June 14, 1885 in Hancock Co. he married Minnie Girty. She was born in Ind. about 1867. Also living in the home is John R. McGraw. He was born in Ind. about 1895 and he works as a taxi driver.

The Linville family is listed next at the home they own at 558 S. Jefferson. Pheul F. Linville, a farmer, was born in Ind. about 1857. On July 8, 1881 in Rush Co. he married Serilda J. Kennedy. Serilda was born in Ind. about 1862. In 1880, they had children Effie (b. Aug 1885), Mabel (b. June 1890) and son Cicero (b. Feb 1893). In 1900, only their son, Russell L., is living in the home. He was born about 1901 and works as an inspector at a factory.

Genealogical Gleanings 98 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the October 26 column.

Following the Linville family at 558 S. Jefferson (detailed last week) is the home rented by the Hinton family at 546 S. Jefferson. James H. Hinton was born in Kentucky about 1883 and he works as a painter in a factory. His wife, the former Martha Adams, was born in Kentucky about 1891. They have four children (who were all born in Ky.) also living in the home including: Herbert L. (b. about 1908), Herman R. (b. about 1910), Inez M. (b. Apr 5, 1912) and Lily D. (b. July 5, 1915). According to other records, both Inez and Lily were born in Lewis County, Ky. but it is uncertain if the other children were born there also.

Mrs. Mary Jackson, a widow, owns the next home listed at 534 Jefferson. Mary was born in Ind. about 1870. She lives alone but works as a laundress at the “orphan home.”

Mrs. Lizzie Bryant rents the next home at 524 Jefferson. Lizzie, who is divorced, was born in Ind. about 1877. She works as a laundress in her home. She has four children living in the home – Floyd (b. about 1897), Virgil (b. about 1905), Ellen M. (b. about 1906) and Josephine (b. about 1908). Floyd is employed as a painter in a factory and Virgil works a dairy farmer.

Mr. and Mrs. Lanning rent the next home shown at 305 S. Jefferson. James Lanning was born Ind. about 1891 and his wife Emma was born in Ind. about 1887. James works as a machinist at a factory.

The Spellman family rents the home at 304 S. Jefferson. Forrest Spellman was born in Ohio about 1862 and works as a stationary engineer. On Jan 15, 1880 in Shelby Co. he married Jennie A. Billensley. She was born in Ind. about 1862. A daughter, Elsie, is also living in the home. She was born in Ind. about 1898 and works as a clerk at the post office.

The Brook family rents the next home at 238 S. Jefferson. William Brook was born in Ind. about 1882 and works as a carpenter at a factory. His wife Emma was born in Ind. about 1889. They have three children including Myrtle M. (b. about 1911), Mildred (b. about 1913) and Robert D. (b. about 1917).

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson own the next home shown at 234 S. Jefferson. Lewis L. Johnson was born in Ind. about 1868 and works as the town’s constable. His wife Grace, who was born in Ind. about 1871, works as a dressmaker in her home.

The Black family owns the home at 226 S. Jefferson. Joseph S. Black was born in Illinois about 1872. He is a superintendent on a cement road project. His wife, formerly Miss Elizabeth McCormack, was born in Ind. about 1875. Elizabeth had first married Lon Callahan on Mar 30, 1892 in Henry Co. and from that marriage at least one child, Hilda, was born around 1899. Hilda Callahan is still living with her mother in this censes and works as a bookkeeper at a bank. Elizabeth then married Joseph Black on Nov. 18, 1911 in Henry County. Also living in the home is Elizabeth’s father Noah McCormack. He was born in Ind. about 1842.

Genealogical Gleanings 99 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the November 2 column.

Following the Black family at 226 S. Jefferson (detailed last week) is the home of the Watts family. This family is also enumerated as living at 226 S. Jefferson. Leland H. Watts was born in Ind. about 1892 and works as a grocery merchant. On Oct. 21, 1913 in Henry Co. he married Effie P. Wilson. She was born in Ind. about 1893. They have one son, Richard W. Watts, who was born about 1915.

The Brinkman home is listed next at 216 S. Jefferson. Mrs. Eva Brinkman, a widow, lives in the home with her daughter Pauline. Eva was born in Ind. about 1871. Pauline was born in Ind. about 1893 and is employed as a sales lady at a dry goods store.

The Rust family rents the next home shown at 212 S. Jefferson. George O. Rush was born in Ohio about 1870. His wife, the former Etta B. Tatman, was born in Kentucky about 1879. They have two daughters living in the home – Nora J. (b. about 1907) and Mary E. (b. about 1912). Also living in the home is Etta’s mother Emma Tatman. She was born in Ohio about 1867.

The Green family rents the next home at 208 S. Jefferson. William H. Green was born in Ind. about 1875. He works as a street laborer. His wife, Mary A., was born in Ind. about 1871. Three children, apparently children of Mary’s from an earlier marriage, are also living in the home. Her children are George H. Karning (b. about 1901), Marion P. (b. about 1906) and Anna C. (b. about 1911).

The Darrah family is listed next on the census at  206 S. Jefferson. Thomas W. Darrah was born in Ind. about 1851 and works as meat cutter in a butchery. On Sept 15, 1878 in Randolph Co. he married Elizabeth A. Clevenger. She was born in New Jersey about 1849.

The Banker family owns the next home shown at 204 S. Jefferson. Kansas W. Banker was born in Iowa about 1862 and is employed as a photographer at his own photography studio. On Apr 9, 1896 in Marion Co. he married Bertie Rochat. She was born in Ind. about 1870.

Mr. and Mrs. Steiner rent the next home at 148 S. Jefferson. Earl P. Steiner, a carpenter, was born in Ind. about 1867. On Sept 30, 1891 in Henry Co. he married Nancy L. Newcomer. She was born in Ind. about 1868.

Genealogical Gleanings 100 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the November 9 column (note: there was no “Gleanings” published in the November 16 issue).

Following the Steiner family at 148 S. Jefferson is the home owned by the Morris family at 140 S. Jefferson. Alpheous O. Morris was born in Ind. about 1851 and works as a wholesale grocery merchant. On Jan 30, 1878 in Henry Co. he married Augusta V. “Gussie” Welborn. She was born in Ind. about 1853.

The Holloway family owns the next home listed at 124 S. Jefferson. Olin E. Holloway was born in Ind. about 1858 and is a medical physician. On Oct 22, 1884 in Henry Co. he married Mary Maud Furgason. She was born in Ind. about 1860. Also living in the home is an aunt, Hester A. Hatch. This census shows Hester is married by no other person is living in the home. Hester was born in Ohio about 1832.

The Reeves family owns the next home shown at 116 S. Jefferson. Norman W. C. Reeves was born in Ind. about 1857. Mr. Reeves is a druggist in a store he owns. On Nov 5, 1901 in Henry Co. he married Maybelle “Belle” Pennington. She was born in Ind. about 1872. A son, Norman P., also lives in the home. Norman was born in Ind. about 1913.

The Parish family rents the next home listed at 112 S. Jefferson. Claud A. Parish was born in Ind. about 1893 and works as a dry cleaner at his own shop. On Aug 7, 1916 in Hancock Co. he married Lydia Dugan. She was in Ind. about 1896.

The Brosius family owns the next home at 106 S. Jefferson. Wallace G. Brosius was born in Ind. about 1853 and works in a poultry house. Laura D., his wife, was born in Ind. about 1858. Also living in the home is their son Walter G. Brosius. He was born in Ind. about 1890 and is an owner of the poultry house where his father likely works. Walter is divorced from Rebecca Ward, whom he had married on Mar 23, 1909. Walter’s two children, Gerald W. (b. about 1910) and Herbert E. (b. about 1912) are living in the home too. Also enumerated in the home are two other children of Wallace and Laura’s – John A. (b. about 1901) and Eleanor B. (b. about 1898). John works as a telegraph operator and Eleanor is a college student.

Mrs. Harriett A. White, a widow, owns the next home listed at 36 S. Jefferson. Mrs. White was born in Ind. about 1837. Living in the home with her is daughter Carrie W. Gregory, widow of George P. Gregory whom she had married on Apr 8, 1890 in Henry Co. Carrie’s children Malcolm W., George P., and Leora also live in the home. Malcolm was born in Idaho about 1893 and works as a bookkeeper at a factory. George was born in California about 1898 and is employed as an accountant at a rubber company. Leora is still a student. Austin M. Edwards, Harriett’s brother, is also living in the home. Austin, a widow, was born in Ind. about 1845 and is a carpenter. John Bell, a roomer, is listed as living in the home as well. Mr. Bell was born in Ind. about 1832.

Genealogical Gleanings 101 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the November 23 column.

Following the home of Mrs. Harriett White at 36 S. Jefferson (detailed last week) is the home rented by the Hendricks family at 34 S. Jefferson. Thomas Hendricks was born about 1879 in Ind. and is employed as a druggist. His wife Mary Hendricks was also born in Ind. about 1879. They have two children living with them. Their son Lyle S. was born about 1903 and daughter Jennette M. was born about 1911.

Another White family is listed after the Hendricks at 24 S. Jefferson, a home they own. Allen S. White was born about 1850 in Ind. and his wife Anna R. was born in New York about 1847. They live alone.

The next home shown is at 17 W. Jackson Street. Harry J. Kirk and his wife rent the home. Harry was born in Ind. about 1891 and he works as a lineman for the telephone company. On Dec. 18, 1912 in Henry Co. he married Emma B. Koon. She was born in Ind. about 1893.

Stephen Powers lives alone in the residence which appears to also be located at 17 W. Jackson St. Mr. Jackson was born in Ind. about 1865. He works as a teamster and is divorced.

The Polk family owns the next home listed at 37 W. Jackson. John F. Polk was born in North Carolina about 1834 and his wife Mary was born in North Carolina about 1835.

The Mugler family is shown next but appears to rent another part of the residence at 37 W. Jackson. Daniel H. Mugler, a Presbyterian minister, was born in Ohio about 1877. On Oct 22, 1903 in Henry Co. he married Laura E. Painter. She was born in Ind. about 1882. They have three children living with them including Esther L. (b. about 1907), Phillip H. (b. about 1909) and Charles D. (b. about 1912). All of the children were also in Ohio.

Harry Brown rents the next home shown at 23 W. Jackson. Mr. Brown is divorced and lives alone in the home. He was born about 1882 and works as a painter.

The names of the family living in next home listed at 35 W. Jackson are very difficult to read. The husband’s name appears to be Lauren A. E. Kreitgen. He was born in Ohio (birth year is smeared) and he works as a foreman at a factory. His wife Gladys M. was born in Ind. about 1893.

Mr. Arthur W. Foxworthy lives alone in the next home listed at 36 W. Jackson. Arthur was born in Ind. about 1846. He is retired and widower.

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the November 30 column.

Mr. and Mrs. Keemer are the first ones enumerated on Harrison Street. James H. Keemer owns the home at 113 Harrison. He was born in Ind. about 1871. He works as a laborer in a agarage. His wife Martha A. Keemer was born in Ind. about 1879.

The Allen family owns the next home listed at 121 Harrison. John R. Allen was born in Ind. about 1885. He is employed as a chauffer. On Dec 30, 1906 in Henry Co. he married Edmona A. Elliott. She was born in Ind. about 1884.  *** NOTE -  THE CENSUS PAGES WERE MIXED UP AND THE REST OF THIS FAMILY WAS ENUMERATED NOT ON THE FOLLOWING PAGE BUT TWO PAGES LATER. THE FOLLOWING INFO SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE COLUMN BUT WASN’T BECAUSE OF THE PAGE MIXUP ... The Allens have three children – John (b. about 1911), Stella E. (b. about 1904) and Joseph E. (b. about 1906). Also living either in the home or in a separate area on the Allen property is Eliza Woods (b. about 1866) and Hazel Harris (b. about 1903 in Ohio).

The census then moves to East Jackson Street with the home owned by the Stage family at 210 E. Jackson. Arthur L. Stage was born in Ohio about 1873. He is employed as a cashier assistant at a bank. On Dec 28, 1898 in Henry Co. He married Nellie J. Harris. She was born in Ind. about 1875. They have one daughter, Alice E. (b. about 1907) living in the home as well as Nellie’s mother, Arma E. Harris. Mrs. Harris, a widow, was born in Ohio about 1848.

The Sherburn family owns the next home at 216 E. Jackson. Ernest M. Sherburn was born in Ind. about 1862. Mr. Sherburn is the superintendent at the power light plant. On Oct 24, 1883 in Henry Co. he married Cora F. Davy. She was born in Ind. about 1863.

The Sears family owns the next home at 225 E. Jackson. James O. Sears was born in Ind. about 1855. His wife, Ella M., was born in Ind. about 1856. A granddaughter, Lavaughn D. Sears, is also shown as living in the home.

The Buson family owns the next home listed at 235 E. Jackson. Francis L. Buson was born in Ind. about 1881. He is employed as a mail clerk at the railroad. On Sept 7, 1901 in Hancock Co. he married Nellie M. Chew. She was born in Ind. about 1882. They have one daughter, Lucille M. (b. about 1903) living with them.

Mrs. Sylvia Reddick, a widow, owns the next home shown at 126 E. Jackson. Sylvia was born in Ind. about 1870.

Renting from Mrs. Reddick at the same address is the Bartle family. Frank L. Bartle was born in Ind. about 1872. He is employed as an oil driller. On Dec 28, 1895 in Henry Co. he married Pearl McConnell. She was born in Pennsylvania about 1875. They have two children living in the home with them – Hazel M. (b. about 1900) and Chester D. (b. about 1906).

Genealogical Gleanings 103 – Knightstown 1920 Census continued

This week’s column continues detailing the families living in Knightstown residences in 1920 from where we left off in the December 7 column. (Note: There was no “Gleanings” published on December 14.)

Following the Bartle family at 126 E. Jackson (detailed in last column) is the home rented by the Morrison family at 118 E. Jackson. Ramerd E. Morrison was born in Kentucky about 1890. He works as a printer in his own shop. His wife, Orpha C., was born in Kansas about 1888. They have one child, Harriet S., living with at home. She was born in Ind. about 1915. The Jones family rents the next home listed at 123 E. Fourth Street. Thomas Jones was born in Kentucky about 1879. He works as a laborer on the railroad. His wife, Mollie F., was born in Ky. about 1886. They have four children living in the home, all born in Ky. – Hazel (b. about 1909), Beulah (b. about 1911), Opal (b. about 1912) and Oral R. (b. about 1915). Also living in the home is a roomer, Robert Fisher. Mr. Fisher was born in Ky. about 1881. He is also a laborer at the railroad.

The Welborn family rents the next home shown at 36 West Pine Street. Luther S. Welborn was born in Ind. about 1857. Luther is an Army officer working for the government. On Oct 22, 1903 in Marion Co. he married Luna B. Confare. She was born in Ind. about 1867. Also living in the home is Luna’s widowed mother Angeline Confare. She was born in Ind. about 1843.

The George family owns the next home listed at 34 Pine Street. Jesse Ray George was born in Ind. about 1885. Mr. George is a veterinary doctor. On June 25, 1908 in Hancock Co. he married Esther L. Collins. She was born in Ind. about 1891. Two children also live in the home – Collins R. (b. about 1915) and Phyllis (b. about 1917). Also living in the home is Esther’s brother Ernest Collins (b. about 1901) and one of Jesse’s cousins, Edith M. George (b. about 1897). Ernest is a government mail carrier and Edith is a school teacher.

The Sigler family rents the next home at 30 West Pine. Charles B. Sigler was born in Ind. about 1878. Mr. Sigler is a jeweler with his own shop. His wife, Clara F., was born in Ohio about 1882. They have one son, Paul E., living in the home with them. Paul was born about 1906.

The Drakes rent the next home at 24 West Pine Street. Flarius J. Drake was born in Ind. about 1850. Mr. Drake is a medical physician. His wife, Emma J., was born in Ind. about 1856.
